Which is the best bridge cameras for wildlife, nature, and bird photography?
Bridge Cameras ? are the niche between SLR and Point and shoot cameras. they are lightweight and small in size as compared to DSLR’s which make it more convenient to carry as you go. Unlike DSLR it doesn’t have any interchangeable lenses. Modern bridge cameras are mostly digital cameras with many pre-set options to choose from.
Nowadays most of the camera companies like Nikon and Sony is focussing in high zoom Bridge Cameras which is a bliss for an amateur bird photography enthusiast like me 🙂
I have a Nikon (B500 with 40X optical zoom ~ 900mm) and Sony (DSC HX10V – 16X optical zoom) cameras with some amazing zoom capacity. it gives me good options to capture birds at a long distance and also take close up of small insects etc.
There are many other Nikon models with extreme Zoom capabilities like Nikon P900, Nikon P1000, etc. and are great options for bird and wildlife photographers.
Sony also got some really great models like Sony Cybershot DSC-RX10, Sony Cybershot DXC-HX400V.
Though I am not a professional bird photographer but love to capture these exotic birds and wildlife. Amazing creations of god.
